"Liz", 14 x 11 In, Oil on Museum Board
Thanks to whoever posted Anders Zorn's palette on Facebook--I think it was Florin Bosinceanu. The cad red light, yellow ochre, titanium white and ivory black--was an experimental inspiration--have to try it again--
What a beautiful young woman, Kathryn - daughter?
ReplyDeleteLove the way you did the nose and muzzle of the mouth. I have a hard time getting that area correct.
I agree, the Zorn palette is great for portraits, but I found a lot depends on WHICH yellow ochre and Ivory black are used. You must have had a lovely, true yellow ochre. The flesh colors in Liz are truthful.
Hi Julie--yes--Liz in my younger daughter. I just keep painting my daughters, over and over.
