On the Bike - NFS

Back to the small paintings, this is from a photograph I took in a rural farming area of Northeastern China--a photo that I've looked at for a long time and wondered if I could make anything of it. So it was fun just going at it.

    Love all the muted, earthy colors, gestural brushwork and movement in this . . . very free and abstract.

    Fabulous...love the way Motorcycle man pops so gently on the muted background. Just hit the perfect color combination! See...I know what works, I just have to learn to be able to do it. This is really good:)
