Peruvian Child - SOLD

"Peruvian Child", 8" x 6", Oil on Museum Board SOLD
In order to complete my small portrait marathon before I leave on my trip to Cornwall, I'm pulling out photos from trips long past.  This is from a photo of a child in the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of Peru.

  1. This is so nice. Love how thickly the paint is applied. Great color!

  2. Another masterful painting Kathryn. Do you teach workshops? If not, you should! I'd be the first signer upper : )

  3. I've been there! I loved all the different hats that every village wore through out the andes. Love this little girl.

  4. Thank you all! This small portrait marathon has been an eye-opener for me--makes me realize how much work is needed to get out of an old mindset and into an experimental one--every day!

Pam--I'd love to go back and explore more areas in the Andes--we were mainly on the tourist trail from Cuzco to Machu Picchu. It is an unimaginably beautiful area--so rich in art and history.
