Zangle Cove Rain

"Zangle Cove Rain", 8 x 10 In, Oil on Panel
This day I look out of my studio window and it was raining, the mist blanketed everything, the colors all gray, and I thought I would like to try painting it, anyway. This type of challenge is interesting.

Purchase this unframed painting.

  1. You forgot to mention the rain was on top of 8 inches of snow and it was freezing as it was coming down..... brrr. Your painting reflects the day for sure.

  2. Hi Nancy--I was going to mention in this post that I am at the airport in Vancouver on my way to Australia! I did this painting when it was just raining, but the storm you mention--well we left two days early to go up to the airport--before the some 14 inches of freezing snow that came down on our street! Then the airport shut down--no flights in or out, so we drove through heavy snow in Seattle to Vancouver where luckily the storm did not reach and there was actually sun on the hills today. Now we are waiting for our delayed flight to Sydney while our neighbor is comfy in our house with no electricity but a fire in the fireplace and a kitty--once she gets over being freaked out--in the lap. You are on Harstene, right? Hope everything is OK with you!

  4. I love the color of the sky. An unusual, but very atmospheric feel to it.
Australia?...looking foward to seeing paintings from there.
    Have a great time.
