"Girl with Blue Dress", 12 x 9 In, Oil on Panel
This is another portrait where I left the background the tone of the canvas--an interesting experiment for me. I guess I could always pull it into Photoshop and try it out with a background, but that never accounts for the actual color and the brushwork.

I like it as it is! Love the warmth in the shadows, and the bit of reflected light under the chin.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! I like how she is so warm against the cool background. And I realize I have missed a couple of paintings. I love the Girl with Pigtails. Such beautiful light on her hair and skin.
ReplyDeleteDigging all the colors and the pop of violet in the hair shadows. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteI like this, the softness, the warmth. Very nice.
