Sierra Madre from Pescadero

"Sierra Madre from Pescadero", 8 x 10, Oil on Museum Board
This was another palette knife experiment painted from Pescadero on the west side of the tip of Baja--the view across the desert to the Sierra Madre. I had always imagined Baja to be a very long flat peninsula, so it was a happy surprise to find that the Sierra Madre run to the tip of Baja--beautiful mountains with few highways across to the east coast.
