Harstene Island

"Harstene Island", 9 x 12 In, Oil on Panel
I'm always trying to find a different focus for my paintings of the Sound back of my house--I've painted Zangle Cove so many times. Harstene Island is actually way off in the distance, so this is a close-up.

Purchase this unframed painting for $135.
Contact me if you would like to purchase a plein air frame.

  1. I love this and all the works of your lake, there so effortless!

  2. Sherrie--thanks for your comment! Sometimes they are fast and sort of effortless, but many times they are not. Sometimes, if I don't like the initial result, I scrape off excess paint and then repaint. Despite the simplicity of this view, on this painting I didn't like the original composition so I scraped it and changed it.
