Falls from Grinnell Glacier - NFS

"Falls from Grinnell Glacier", 10 x 8 In, Oil on Museum Board
This was my favorite painting from the trip and I'm hoping sometime to do a larger version. On the last day, my friend Mary Bee Kaufman and I hiked up the 4 miles from the end of Lake Josephine, 1600 feet elevation gain, to the Grinnell Glacier, the source of the falls in the painting. It was absolutely glorious. There were many mountain sheep on the way up near the top.

    I love your colors in this one. The sunlit areas balanced by the cools in the shadows are wonderful.
