"Yellow Roses", 9 x 12 In, Oil on Panel
It may not look like it, but this painting was an experiment--a trend that I hope to continue. Experiments don't always turn out and maybe its not even obvious that they are experiments. But in doing them, the idea of perfection is cast aside in order to go for something different. Its all about identifying habits.

That sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is something different, I've been noticing there's recurring disciplines of thought that I try to exercise when I'm painting. That process of thinking gets to be more important to me than the painting.
Is that at all like the experiment?
a soothing little piece in the monochromes.
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this one and also the paint strokes. Very nicely done!
