Idaho Field - NFS

"Idaho Field", 8" x 10", Oil on Panel
This is a quick study of a simple subject.  I like to do paintings like this--they are so uncomplicated.

  1. It may be simple, but it's beautiful. Thank you for posting them large enough so that clicking on the image gives a bigger view. I study them!

  7. Thank you for all the comments! Some paintings work, others don't. The connections between the hand and the eye and the feelings of the moment are always changing. Sometimes its the first painting of the day that works and the second one is a bomb. Sometimes the more I do the better they get because I stop feeling so up tight about the outcome. Its something of a mystery!
