The colors of the Southwest are so different from the colors of the Northwest where I live. It is a challenge to paint these colors and I wonder if I made them a little too intense in compensation for my eye which is use to gray!
Kathryn, Julie beat me to it, but I agree with her. I think it conveys the colors brilliantly. Pun intended. My favorite part of the painting is that upside down triangle of smoky blue with the rust peeking through the two brilliant cliffs.
To me, like Julie, the colors are just perfect! They read correctly and have a beautiful harmony. Plus like Jan said, the smoky blues really set them off. Lovely! Let me know if you ever hear something about France, I'd love to paint with you there!
How to be in the modern world where intentions are known and keep hidden what must be hidden so it is not changed beyond recognition, making the inner process impossible. That is the question.
All paintings prior to 10/24/10 are $115 unless marked "Sold", "NFS", or "On Hold", including tax and shipping. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing one of these paintings. Each painting from 10/24/10 has a PayPal link.
No , not too intense at all - they seem just right to me and I have seen them look just like this.
