"Zangle with Clouds", 12 x 14, Oil on Museum Board
This was done fast and loose with a big brush--an impression without the angst of re-doing a single part of it.
Thank you all for your comments--they are unexpected! Vic--I didn't touch this up after doing it, but I did do it at home. This is the view from my studio window! Every day of the year I have before me this amazing view, always changing with the time of day, the seasons, the weather and the tides.
I think paintings almost always come out best when you don't have that angst/retouching phase during the painting process. The smooth flow of emotions to paint shows in the end I think. Great, serene view. Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE this one. This is south sound!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love everything about this one: tone, colours, brushtrokes, composition.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Valerie on this one Kathryn. Brilliant painting and nothing done to it at home? Well done and all the best.
ReplyDeleteVic.
It is beautiful! Beautiful reflections in the water!
ReplyDeleteIt's oozing with freshness. Your gut instinct, your initial stroke is pretty much right on target. It has a Monet-ish appeal. Very nice.
