"Old Roses", 18 x 14 In, Oil on Panel
There has been so little sun this summer in the Northwest that when it does come out, I set up the still life on the back deck or my patio. It sometimes seems so bright I can hardly see!
I find your flower paintings mesmerizing and inspiring. I linked to your blog from mine on today's post to say so. I wish I could study with you and watch you paint!
Thank you all for your comments! I'm currently in the San Juan Islands at a paint-out with some friends, so I did these paintings before I left and scheduled them to post this week.
This is very pretty. Your use of color makes me drool!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Really like the flowers and the way you paint them.

ReplyDeleteI love this Kathryn! Your colors are juicy yet soft. It's wonderful. While you're without sun the east coast has been scorching.
